DESCRIPTION
“The One in the Neighborhood” is a short documentary film about the passage of time and the history of a country reflected in a small local commercial, such as a bookstore. Pepa Arteaga and her bookstore Miraguano are the protagonists of this story, a tale of war and censored books. A portrait of women in the book business in Spain. What is the future of bookstores in the 21st century? What power does a book have? How do family businesses evolve over time? These are some of the questions that we present in this film, together with great writers such as Elvira Lindo or Benjamín Prado and current figures such as a member of the congress of deputies: Íñigo Errejón.
